Who are we?

Based in Sheffield, Softsteel Solutions tries to live up to the Yorkshire virtues of thorough, unpretentious professionalism. Softsteel is a young company and has three employees - Gavin Boyce, Ewan McEachran and Andrew Sampson - all of whom are directors and shareholders. Between them they have substantial academic experience, and still maintain strong links with both of Sheffield's universities. These connections, along with the team's ability, ensures that Softsteel stays on top of the most recent Internet technologies and is able to provide the best service to its customers.

Gavin Boyce
Gavin has a Ph.D. in certain theoretical aspects of artificial intelligence. As well as acting as the Managing Director of Softsteel, he specialises in Internet strategy, marketing and training. He has recently been teaching courses on Paintshop Pro and Dreamweaver for the South Sheffield City Learning Centre. His eighteen-month son Sam can successfully imitate animals.
Ewan McEachran
An Oxford graduate, Ewan also has an MSc. from Sheffield University in Software Systems Technology. He specialises in Dynamic HTML, various server-side scripting languages, WAP and Java. Ewan also has a track record of providing articles for magazines and newspapers. Much of Ewan's work involves building web applications for the Sheffield Children's Hospital, but he is currently working on other ASP.NET and PHP projects.
Andrew Sampson
Andy is a qualified pharmacist and thus has experience of making critical decisions under pressure. Following his move into IT (he also has a software engineering MSc.) Andy now specialises in Dynamic HTML, ASP, Perl, XML/XSL and the Microsoft Visual Studio languages. He is currently working on projects within the world of pharmacy.
